The photography competition was so popular last year that we are running it again this year. It will be judged by local photographer Liam Yule.
The competition theme is LOCAL WILDLIFE. Each photo can be a maximum of A4 size and can be mounted or unmounted but must not be in a frame.
Photos should be brought along to the marquee the day before Sports Day (Friday 23rd August) no later than 18:00. The entries will be judged on Friday evening with all entries and the winner’s photos displayed in the marquee on Sports Day.
Please do not label the photo with your name to ensure impartiality. Instead, numbers will be used to identify the owner by registering the photo in the tent. The winners will be presented with prizes at 16:30 on Sports Day.
Tips to keep in mind:
- Try to use a tripod or camera rest to get better sharpness to your photos.
- Avoid placing the main subject in the centre of the picture. Try to place it more creatively.
- Try to take photos when the sun is low in the sky, as this often gives better light on the land. We know that can be difficult during the long summer days.
